For Others" Newsletter....

1John
3:18—“My
little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in
deed and truth”
Dear Friends,
It is
always a privilege to write and share with you how God has blessed
and is blessing the ministries.
He
is so good to all of us and we so often take these blessings for
granted.
The last
of May the Lord allowed us to ship our 40th container to
Romania. I thank God for the people who donate the clothes, medical
supplies, and sometimes food, that we are able to ship. Most people
here in America have no idea what a blessing these items are to
those who have nothing. If the Lord is willing, we hope to ship
another container the last of August.
So many of you have
had a part in the Christmas box ministry, and also in putting
together the bags of items for the nursing homes. What a blessing
these have been! We are praying to have even more this year. If you
need information regarding these projects, please call or email us
and we will be happy to provide you with information. We must have
all of the boxes and bags ready to ship by the first weekend in
November.
Please
continue to pray with us regarding the clinic. Th
e
need seems to be more evident each day. Anton is continually working
in the nursing homes and with the street children to do what he can
to meet their medical needs. As he meets these needs, he is also
able to present the Love of Jesus in both word and deed and this is
the purpose of Hopes for Others. The following is a statement from
one of Anton’s letters.
“
He had asked the Dr to give him a slip to come to Arad and go to the
hospital but the Dr said no that I would do more and had more meds
and better meds than the hospital. (these medical supplies, which
Anton uses, are available only because many of you donate them to us
for shipping)
As a side note had a good talk with Albert yesterday, he was very
talkative.
He asked me why I was able to fix his feet in a year when the
hospitals and drs tried for 5 years? I told him it was because I
prayed for him and without God he would never have been healed. To
me Albert is the person I can see most clearly has had a dramatic
change both spiritually and physically. Carl the guy in the next bed
said when he came to the home three years ago Albert could not walk.
I am quite thankful to God for his healing,
I
continue to pray for him to forgive his children who
never
come to see him”
There are so many stories
that I could share with you from nursing homes, street children, and
other places where we minister. These are only a couple that
demonstrate the need for a medical facility where physical needs can
be met and the gospel shared.
We feel
so blessed that God has allowed us the privilege of helping others
and of sharing His love with them as we do so. We also realize that
it is only because of your love, prayers, and gifts that any of this
is possible.
We
continue to pray that Hopes for Others will be what God will have it
to be-that we would constantly look to Him for leadership in all we
do. Someone once asked me
ALBERT

what
vision I had for the ministry in Romania. I told them I had never
had a vision but that as God opened doors, we just try to seek His
leadership and step through them. If there is one thing I always
want to stress, it is that it is God accomplishing these things and
not us. Like all of you, we are only instruments.
Thank
you, and may the Lord continue to bless you all.
In His Service,
Johnny, Sissie, Jackie, & Children
