1 John 3:18–My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue;<\/strong>
\nbut in deed and in truth.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dear Friends,<\/p>\n

I have recently been approached about trying to help in Guatemala where the
\nrecent volcano, Volcan de Fuego (Volcano of Fire), erupted.<\/p>\n

At first, after reading up on the situation there, I really thought that
\nthere was more than enough aid there. However, after speaking with some who
\nare in contact with those on the ground there, we have found out that they
\ndo need all of the aid they can get—not only for the present but also for
\nthe future for those who have lost everything. Something else that has been
\nbrought to my attention is that much of the farm land has been lost. No
\ndoubt this will greatly add to the difficulties there.<\/p>\n

I very often think of all that is going in the world-not only the political
\nturmoil but even more those that are being persecuted and killed, often for
\nno reason at all. Then, I think of all of the disasters caused by nature and
\nof how they seem to be constantly increasing. Do you ever wonder why the
\nLord allowed those of us here in the US to be so blessed? We have had our
\nshare of disasters in the past few years but here in the States we have the
\nhelp and resources to help each other through those times. In that respect
\nalso, we are blessed beyond measure.<\/p>\n

Upon being made aware of the needs in Guatemala, I contacted our shipping
\nagent for information re shipping into that area. What we must do, after we
\ncollect supplies, is to make a complete itemized list of what we have to
\nship, then submit it to Guatemala for their approval. How long will this
\ntake? I honestly do not know. One thing I do know though is that if God is
\nin it, it will all work out in His time. As I have said before—very often
\nthe countries that need the help the worst are the most difficult to help.
\nAt this time, there are 2 Christian ministries there that can receive the
\nshipment and see to its distribution once it arrives.<\/p>\n

I am attaching a list of items which are priority needs there now. These can
\neither be delivered to us here at Fairhaven, or to New Life Missions, 19258

Please pray that the Lord will be glorified through whatever is accomplished
\nin this.<\/p>\n
