Matthew 25:37-40–37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear Friends,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is my prayer that this finds all of you well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are all well here at Fairhaven. Hopefully we will soon be back on our \u201cschool schedule\u201d around here. The Lord continues to allow us to be a channel of His love and blessings to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To say that we are living in living in \u201cstrange times\u201d would be an understatement, I think. If you try to keep up with the things going on in our country, as well as in countries around the world, as I do, I am sure that you sometimes think \u201cLord, just what are you doing?\u201d I do not think it is wrong to ask the Lord that question but, as Christians, no matter what is happening, we can have that perfect peace that He is in complete control. And I am so thankful He is! Also, we have to realize that He is under no obligation to answer that question, but it is our responsibility to trust Him, no matter what is happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you are aware, hurricane Laura recently hit parts of Louisiana and caused untold damage in so many areas in the western and central part of the state. Thank the Lord for all of the volunteers that are at work there now helping with the cleanup, feeding, encouraging those affected, and rebuilding. Please keep all of those people in your prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No matter where things like this happen, and no matter how many volunteers there are, there are always small, out of the way, communities that do not receive as much help as some of the others. We have some people from our church, and also from other churches, looking for these areas and trying to minister there as much as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am attaching a list of needs that was given to me. Although this has Merryville, La. listed as the place they are helping, I can promise you that whatever excess there is will be used in other areas there. This is the second weekend that a team from here and from our church is working there and they will be also be going back next weekend. Should you like to, you can also drop off supplies at Fairhaven and we will be sure that they are delivered where needed. Please be praying that through all of the work and efforts, the love of Jesus will be manifested and shared in all that is done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
