Fairhaven Update May 15, 2015

1 Corinthians 13:13—And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Dear Friends,

As usual, things are going full blast here at Fairhaven. With ball practice and games plus end of school activities added to the normal routines, I assure you that Sissie and I are more than ready for sleep each night. I want to thank all of you who have been praying for Sissie and Mrs. Brown. Mrs, Brown is doing much better and Sissie seems a little better also. We are very thankful for this.

Also, I want to update you all on the results of so many of your prayers, donations, and efforts involving the containers.

It is quite a coincidence that both the container to Israel and the container to the Ukraine were cleared by customs on the same days and are now in the possession of the ministries to which they were sent. Things haven’t gone without problems, but we praise the Lord for your prayers and for His working out all of the details. As soon as we have pictures, I will send those to you also. The container to Haiti is in Port Au Prince but have not heard of it’s current status yet.

Re the container to the Ukraine, Andre called me from there a few days ago. He told me that due to the war going on there, this container will be a major blessing. He stated that at this time there are more widows, orphans, and others living in severe poverty because of the conditions there at the present. Please pray with us that the Lord will multiply the contents of this container many times over and that His unconditional love will be manifested as the contents are distributed. In case you are wondering about the “multiplying of the contents”, I know that we serve the same Lord that multiplied the fishes and loaves and I know that He is just as capable today as always. If it is His will, I have no doubt that He can do this.

Re Israel, the Lord willing, we will be loading another one for there on May 30th. If you can come and help us load, we would surely appreciate it.

This morning, I received the following list from Don Owens, who works with Harvest of Israel in Morristown, Tenn. He was on the phone with those in Israel yesterday and this is the “critical items’ list that they gave him. I am sending this, just in case any of you are interested. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Again, thank you all for your prayers and support, and for allowing the Lord to use you to minister to the needs of others. May He richly bless you all.

In His Service,
Johnny
