Fairhaven Update August-7- 2015

Philipians 4:6-7—-Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Dear Friends,

It is difficult to believe that the summer vacation time for the kids is almost over and that school starts in a few days. The Lord has blessed us with great summer.  We are very thankful for all He has done and continues to do.  We have seen Him minister to some of the children in very special ways at the Bible Camps and VBS.

As you can see from the pictures, the children had a great time in camping out in Florida. While there, they rode bikes, fished, snorkeled, went to a water park, and many other things, including getting some sunburns!

Very often, I think of how The Lord touches the hearts of people in order that the needs, and so much more, are met here at Fairhaven. I try to stress to the children that they have what they have and are able to do the things that the do because of the way He touches hearts and then people respond. We truly do serve an awesome God!

One of our greatest blessings here are the groups that come to work and to help us around here. I would not even start to name them all, but  I assure you that the Lord knows their names and how much we appreciate all of their time, efforts, and hearts of service. The work here is never ending and I have to often work at not being depressed over all that needs to be done. I guess it is another of His ways of teaching me to abide in Him and trust Him to get the necessary things done.

The last container that we shipped to Israel has arrived and is in the midst of clearing customs. This is certainly another blessing to be thankful for.

Also, The Lord willing we are planning to load our “Christmas Container” to Romania on Saturday, November 7th. As most of you know, besides food, clothing, and medical supplies, we will be sending Christmas Boxes for needy children there. Should you be interested in helping with this, you can go to our website and all of the information re the boxes is there. I would also appreciate you praying with us about the shipping cost of this container. The cost is usually about $10,000-$10,500 by the time we clear customs and have the supplies distributed.  This will be container number 74 to Romania.

As always, thank you all for your prayers and support.

In His Service,

Johnny, Sissie, Jackie, and Kids
