Fairhaven Update – January-07-2017

Matthew 6:26–Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Dear Friends,

Here we are at the end of another year in which we have all seen our Lord’s faithfulness demonstrated time and time again. How blessed we all are! And now, we enter another year, seeking His will and His leadership in those things He would desire us to accomplish. Do you ever thank Him for the opportunity of serving? I consider serving a privilege that He gives to us and allows us to be a part of.

As you can see, the children all had a great Christmas and we thank so many of you helping to make this possible. In this time of financial crisis for many, He still not only allowed the children here to have a wonderful Christmas, but also allowed us to have a part in helping many other children in the flooded areas of South Louisiana to have Christmas. Thanks so much to all of you for your prayers and contributions.

Do you ever wonder what this coming year will hold for you and your family? I think that it is ok to wonder, and also to ask Him for wisdom and discernment in the decisions we make, but that we should not be worried about it. I often think about Matthew 6:26, which is at the beginning of this letter. Our responsibility is to do our best to stay in His will for our lives.

Our prayer is that our Lord’s  blessing will be on all of you in the coming year as you seek to serve Him and serve others.

Again, thank you all for your continued prayers and support. On January 1st, Fairhaven has been in operation for 51 years. We thank The Lord for touching the hearts of people, and for people responding to His prompting through the years. It is only through the prayers, donations, and help from so many of you that this ministry has been able to minister to the children, those in need here in this community, other areas of the United States, and many other countries. Thank you for your faithfulness.

In His Service,

Johnny, Sissie, Sweetie, and Kids.
