Dear Friends,
Last night I received a phone call re a gentleman to went to a Walmart in Farmington, NM yesterday to purchase needed items on reservation near there. I was told that he stood in line for 1 ½ hours to get in, and then the shelves were empty. I have recently read of people sitting in food lines for 12 hours to obtain food for their families.—and I could go on and on but I imagine most of you are aware of these situations.
My question is, “Do we take our blessings for granted?” We can never list all of the blessings that the Lord has poured out on us and I hope that we will all keep this in mind not just today, but every day.
I am including this Thanksgiving prayer for I think it is so appropriate. It is my prayer that it will be a reminder and a blessing to all of us.
From all of us here at Fairhaven, we wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving.

A Thanksgiving Prayer
Samuel F. Pugh
“O God, when I have food,
help me to remember the hungry;
When I have work,
help me to remember the jobless;
When I have a home,
help me to remember those who have no home at all;
When I am without pain,
help me to remember those who suffer,
And remembering,
help me to destroy my complacency;
bestir my compassion,
and be concerned enough to help;
By word and deed,
those who cry out for what we take for granted.
Amen.”
