Fairhaven Update 02-12-2021

Dear Friends,

I am not sure where the time goes, but it certainly goes quickly. Only a
couple of days ago I realized I have not sent out a letter since before
Christmas. I apologize for this.

To so many of you who support us with your prayers, donations, come out and
help us, and to those who made Christmas so good for the children, Thank
You! Only the Lord knows the depth of our appreciation.

Last month made 55 years that Fairhaven has been in operation. Perhaps some
of you are not aware of the history of Fairhaven, so I am attaching a brief
explanation of that.

The fourth of this month made 49 years that Sissie and I have been here. I
often say that I do not know of anyone more blessed than we are. We have had
the privilege to share in the lives of many children, to meet and work with
so many in our community, different areas of the US, and in many different
countries. We can never began to number all of God’s blessings on the
ministry or our lives. People often ask me when I plan to retire. I do not
care to retire as long as the Lord can use me to serve Him and serve others.

Many have expressed to me their fear for the situation we are in as a
country, as well as throughout the world. We are fortunate, as Christians,
that we can have a perfect peace about it all when we realize that our Lord
is in complete control of everything. You can be sure I am concerned, but I
am not really worried. I just pray that the Lord will continue to give us
the resources to meet the needs of those in desperate circumstances and that
we will be faithful to share His love with them. He is always faithful.

The following devotional is from Jesus Calling. Please read it prayerfully
and with an open heart. I thought that it may be a blessing to you.

Again, thank you so very much for all of your prayers and support. We ask
that you would continue to pray that Fairhaven will be the ministry that the
Lord would have it to be, and that through whatever is accomplished here,
ONLY HE will be glorified.

I pray the Lord’s richest blessings on each of you.

In His Service,

Johnny

P.S.-I have had some mail issues and if you did not receive the last update
letter, and would like to, please let me know. Thank you.

MY PEACE is like a shaft of golden Light shining on you continuously. During
days of bright sunshine, it may blend in with your surroundings. On darker
days, My Peace stands out in sharp contrast to your circumstances. See times
of darkness as opportunities for My Light to shine in transcendent splendor.
I am training you to practice Peace that overpowers darkness. Collaborate
with Me in this training. Do not grow weary and lose heart.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every
way. The Lord be with all of you.
-2 Thessalonians 3:16

In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. And the Light shines on
in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or
absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].
-John 1:4-5 amp

Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will
not grow weary and lose heart.
-Hebrews 12:3
