Fairhaven Update 12-24-2021

Luke 2:16-20

And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

Dear Friends,

As we come to the end of another year, I think of all the blessings of God (not that we can actually even start to comprehend all of His blessings), and as always, it amazes me at the things that the Lord has allowed Fairhaven  to be a part of.  They are far too many to even start to list, but I will just share one that happened a few days ago.

As many of you know, the Lord provides many tons of food for us to distribute to those in need. Well, a few days ago, one of the ladies who helps to distribute the food felt that she should stop at this particular home. She did, and found that there was a grandmother and 2 grandchildren living there. Also, that all they had for food was a roast that they had been eating on for the past 3 days. Needless to say, our friend gave them food, then went back the next day with much more. She will continue to check on them and make sure they have food. Also, I assure you that the kids will have a good Christmas! And, this is only one incident. We are so thankful that the Lord provides in order that we can help.

You and I are well aware of the days we are living in, and all that is going on in the world. There are people all around us hurting, and many in need.  How about, as we began this new year, we pray that the Lord will allow each of us to be a “conduit” of His love and blessings to others? You may wonder how you can do this. Well, I will promise you that if you tell the Lord  this is what you want to do, He will be faithful to use you—and more often than not, in ways you never would have thought of!  I pray each day that He will use this ministry to do just that, but in a way that ONLY HE is glorified.

Attached, you will find a story I asked Anton Osoinach to write. It is of an experience he had one winter in Romania when he delivered some of the Christmas boxes. This story well demonstrates how the Lord can use our faithfulness in serving Him, and how He can be glorified in all of it. I think you will be blessed as you read it.

Also, there are pictures of Lily, Jordin, and Chaz as they attend our churches Youth Christmas Gala. Also, we had some local ladies and a local church to make Christmas boxes for children and you can see these being given out to Native American children in Tulsa, Ok.

From all of us here at Fairhaven, we wish you all a Merry Christmas, and a very Blessed and Happy New Year.

God grant you the light of Christmas, which is faith; the warmth of Christmas, which is love; the radiance of Christmas, which is purity; the righteousness of Christmas, which is justice; the belief of Christmas, which is truth; the all of Christmas, which is Christ.

Love is God’s will in action.

Philippians 2:4,5—Look not every man on his own things, but every man on the things of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.
