Fairhaven Update-March-01-2024

Ephesians 3:20-21 (NASB)–20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations [a]forever and ever. Amen.

Luke 1:37 (NASB)– 37 For [a]nothing will be impossible with God.”

Dear Friends,

I am very happy to write informing you that the container finally made it to Jiya Village, Malawi, Africa. As has often happened to us in shipping to impoverished countries, it was not without issues. However, thank the Lord, He worked it all out and provided the extra funds for documents and customs.

Attached, you will see a few of the photos of the people receiving the beans. Actually, they also had small bags that they were putting the beans in, according to the size of families, etc. Also, many bags went to help other ministries in that area. I have included a video that I think you will find interesting. Folks, those are 100 pound bags of beans those ladies are carrying on their heads! We have always sent 50 pound bags in the past so this was my mistake. Also, attached is a letter from Jan and Greg Sawa, who have MWANA Missions in Malawi. Besides the letter from Jan and Greg (who live here in Mandeville, La.), there are also notes from some of the other missions who received some of the beans and describing what a blessing the food is.

To those of you who helped make this shipment possible, I want to say thank you for being available for God to use. I can assure you that your part in this is a huge blessing to hundreds and gives many opportunities to share His love both in word and deed.

In the past, people have often said to me something like “But Johnny, they are only going to be hungry again when that food is gone.” My answer is that we can only do what the Lord permits us to do. Also, who knows how circumstances may change there? Yes, I do think of that, very often, and wonder at why we are so blessed as we are. My constant thought is that we are blessed in order that we can bless others wherever and whenever the Lord leads us. Please continue to pray that Fairhaven will continue to be that conduit of His love and compassion, whether it is here in our neighborhood, or halfway around the world.

Today I went to the Our Daily Bread Food Bank in Hammon and picked up 2 pallets of cabbage, a pallet of oranges, and a pallet of walnuts. You might think “2 pallets of cabbage??!!”, but you would be surprised how quickly that goes out to those in the community.

Again, thank you for your prayers and support through the years. Only God knows how much we appreciate you.

In His Service,

Johnny and Sissie

BOUND FOR HAITI

Grattitude. The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

The latest container delivered to Malawi, Africa  was really bound for Haiti… We, the Mwana Mission Project  were receiving multiple calls requesting if “America Fairhaven” could maybe help again… “due to serious famine”.  Greg and I were praying for Gods will when Brother Johnny was talking about this container going to Haiti.  One day we got a phone call that God was directing that container to Malawi. When Jan called Francis he literally ran to Traditional Chief Somba. And they were rejoicing…120 villages were going to be served.  That is a huge amount of people!  Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift! — 2 Corinthians 9:15

When the container made it people crawled in gratitude for that one  bag of beans they received.

We shall see what plans the Lord has for the Mwana Mission Project. Just know we are filled with grattitude.

Thank-you Brother Johnny , Fairhaven Ministries, and all of those that contributed!

Jan & Greg Sawa

Philippians 4:6-7–Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all [a]comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Francis is sharing that people are so happy.  The feedback on the beans is that the beans were delicious and easy to cook.

Here is a note from another mission that was nearly wiped out from the floods last year.

“You are a blessing to so many people Francis – from Myself and Judy we thank you for the gift of beans. Thanks to God kids won’t be going to bed hungry tonight. 🙏

Eagle wings ministry says a big thank you for the 8 bags of beans – thanks again on you many kids will go to bed with a full stomach tonight.

We are grateful to receive 8 bags of beans

Message of thanks from Veronica-

This type of beans is very good and easy to cook, they don’t take much time to be cooked and they are very soft. It is really a blessing to our Pastors. Pls send a word of appreciation to Brother Francis and
