Fairhaven Update 12/25/25

December 30, 2025

1 Peter 1:13–Therefore, [a]prepare your minds for action, [b]keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace [c]to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Dear Friends,
Just a little update on what all has been going on at/through Fairhaven lately.
I often think of all the people who asked Sissie and I what we would do when we had no more children—and then I have to smile. I assure you that the Lord keeps us busy serving, but this is our heart’s desire so what more could we ask for.
As I mentioned in the last letter, we had a lot of needed supplies for Tulsa, besides the Christmas Bags and Boxes for Children. I delivered those on December 4th and they were very happy to receive them.
I then drove to Morristown, Tn. to pick up about 7000 lbs of food to bring home and to be distributed in this area.
When some friends were picking up some of the food for distribution in Baton Rouge, they mentioned to me that there was a huge need for toys in their area (as there was in many areas of the US this year).
It is a long story, but in the process of helping someone obtain a hospital bed, I was put in touch with her husband, a Marine Major who is in charge of some of the toy distribution in New Orleans. He called me and asked me if I could be in NO the next morning with a trailer to pick up new toys. Needless to say, I was there. From those toys, Sissie and other ladies were able to help about 40 children in this area and send the rest to Baton Rouge for distribution there. It is always interesting to watch God put things together. He is always using willing people to accomplish His will and demonstrate His love.
Many of you have often heard me say that “God had networking perfected a long time before Microsoft!” Well, to demonstrate that, He recently put together gentlemen in Israel, Tennessee, Nebraska (a farmer who purchased 44,000 lbs. of beans and paid for shipping to Morristown, Tn.) and myself to obtain these beans for a Missionary Hospital/Refugee Camp in Syria. Only a loving God can accomplish these things and we praise Him for His faithfulness and the opportunity to be used by Him.
It seems that we are constantly overwhelmed with the violence, corruption, and evil going on around us today. However, in the middle of it all, we have to remember that are “put here for this time in History”. God does not make mistakes and, in His eyes, there is no one more important than you. Our responsibility is to know His will for us these days and then to work to accomplish His will in our lives.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Please continue to pray that our lives and Fairhaven
