Fairhaven Update – Apr. 1, 2012

Dear Friends,

As always, thank you for your continued prayers and support. The Lord continues to bless and protect the ministry and the children here at Fairhaven. We always praise Him and thank Him for His faithfulness and goodness toward us.

I am always sharing with people, living here at Fairhaven may often be very tiring, but it is certainly never boring. As usual, at this time of the year, many of the children are on Little League teams. This year, they are spread over 7 teams. I assure you that it takes some coordination to be sure they are all at practices right now, and games/practices later on. Sissie does a great job of making sure that everyone is where they are supposed to be-along with all their equipment.

Dalton recently went on a trip to Disney World with the Jr. National Honor Society from his school. He certainly enjoyed that. Also, you will see his picture attached, as he tests for his new belt in Taekwondo. Also, are pictures of Emily as she tests for her new belt and receives it. Mr. Monty Ingalls, a black belt and instructor in Taekwondo, comes here each Tuesday and Thursday evening to instruct the children who are interested. We are very fortunate that he has chosen to give his time for them.

Also, attached is a picture of Jacob on a recent fishing trip to Grand Isle. He is holding a Black Drum that he caught. I was told that it took him about 30 minutes to get it in. Needless to say, he  thoroughly enjoyed the trip!

In my last letter, I asked you to pray with us for the funds for the container which we need to ship. Well, so far, we have had $3,200 to come in, designated for the container. So, we still need $7,200 and would ask that you continue to pray. It is always interesting to watch how the Lord  puts it all together in His time.  I will keep you informed as He continues to meet this need in order that others can be blessed and He can be glorified.

May the Lord continue to bless you all.

In His Service,
Johnny
