Fairhaven Update – February 08,2014

1 John 3: 16-18—Hereby,perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brethren have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion for him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Dear Friends,

Just a brief update on what is happening around here and how the Lord is working.

We are all doing well, and so thankful for that! With the flu and other things going around, we have been so blessed in that we have not had any major sickness. The children are all going full blast. As you can see from the picture, the younger ones were able to go to the circus recently–a first for all of them. They thoroughly enjoyed it. Allie, Emily, and Schylar are already involved in ball practice 4 days a week. Is nonstop, as always.

The Lord has blessed us with tutors for the children in the afternoons, to help with all of the homework. I assure you that is a blessing! I know some of you have been praying for us in that respect also.

I have shared with you how quickly the Lord put together this container for Haiti. Had it not been for a check being lost in the mail, we would probably have shipped about 2 weeks ago, but I am constantly
reminded that I work on the Lord’s timetable and not mine.

It would take me a while to write how the Lord put this together so quickly, but suffice it to say that it was simply one miracle after the other. We loaded the container this past Monday (Feb. 3rd). The ETA for Port Au Prince, Haiti is March 2nd. We praise God for all the people He has used to make this possible. Thank you all for your prayers and support in this effort. Please continue to pray that the Lord will be lifted up as these supplies are given out to those in such desperate need. I always share that it isn’t important that the recepients of supplies know the people who made it possible, but what is important is that they realize that they have a loving God who loves them so much that He touched the hearts of people here in order that the needs may be met there, in their country. It is always our prayer that as His love is manifested through these shipments, people will come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.

Again, thank you all for your prayers and support here at Fairhaven, and wherever the Lord directs us.

May the Lord continue to bless you all as you serve Him and serve others.

In His Service,
Johnny
