Fairhaven Update August 08, 2022

Galatians 6:10–As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Dear Friends, I have been putting off writing this letter because I wanted to wait till had pictures of us loading the container for Poland. However, due to logistical problems (which is the new norm now), we will not be loading till August 10th.  And, yes, I could have waited 2 more days but I received an urgent request this morning from a friend at God’s Warehouse, in Morristown, Tn. To quickly explain this need—this is a medical team working to...

Fairhaven Update 06-08-2022

Hebrews 4:16–Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Dear Friends, Yesterday afternoon, between disruptions, I finally had my update letter all typed up. When I left my office for dinner, I clicked on “save to draft”. Later, when I came back to complete it, it was gone—not in any folders anywhere. Well, as you can imagine I was more than a little frustrated. Finally, the Lord AGAIN reminded me of, actually, how insignificant that is compared to what so many are facing today in our communities, our...

Fairhaven Update 04-01-2022

Dear Friends, This is just a short letter to let you know of the changes/additions in needs for the Ukraine refugees. I want to thank all of you who have brought supplies or donated funds for this need. The Lord willing, Sissie and I will be driving to Morristown, Tn. this coming Tuesday, April 5th, to pick up a commercial ice machine that has been given to us by God’s Warehouse. The people at God’s warehouse will soon be shipping a container to Moldova in order to help there and the supplies we take with us will go into that container.  Now, I know this is short notice but I just made...

Fairhaven Update 03-18-2022

Psalm 128:1– Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. The remarkable thing about fearing God is that when you fear God you fear nothing else, whereas if you do not fear God you fear everything else.—-Oswald Chambers Dear Friends, As I am sure all of you know, refugees from Ukraine are continuing to flee into Poland, Moldova, and Romania. Many have sent funds, though different organizations, with which some of the many needs can be met immediately. The Lord made it possible for Fairhaven to send $2000 today. I have a friend in Tenn. whose...

Fairhaven Update 03-08-2022

Dear Friends, I have had several phone calls, emails, and text messages asking what we can do to help he refugees coming from Ukraine into Poland, Moldova, and Romania. According to different reports, there have been 1-1 ½ million refugees so far. I would invite you to go to the link I am posting with this letter for that gives you an small idea of what is happening there. Anytime I see these things, no matter where they are happening, I have always thought, “But for the grace of God, that could be me/us.”  We surely need to keep these people in our prayers, and also to help them as the...
